External Groups can also hire space at PCYC to run their activity. External Hire Groups must have their:
- Own Public Liability Insurance (copy on file)
- Any Instructors and Volunteers (over 16y) must have a current Working with Vulnerable People Check (copy on file)
- If the activity operates outside PCYC Reception Hours they also need a suitable, current First Aid Qualification (copy on file)
Stage Right Youth Theatre operates from Launceston PCYC.
Stage Right provides training for budding actors aged between 5 and 16. Training provides young people with the chance to learn valuable acting and theatre related skills in an environment with is both fun and confidence-building. Each year Stage Right undertake a major musical performance, usually performed at the Princess Theatre. Additional performance opportunities also occur throughout the year. Training at classes includes all areas of performance work and spoken skill development. Practical tasks like improvisation, scripted drama and language development are also covered.
The Director for Stage Right Youth Theatre is Danny Gibson, who is well known for is involvement in the Launceston Arts Community, and for his community work. Danny’s involvement in Stage Right ranges acting through to stage manager.
